We are so excited to announce that your clients can now buy gift cards from you through your GlossGenius booking website. Gift cards will help you maintain client loyalty and get pre-payments.
How to add Gift Cards to your GlossGenius Booking Site:
To enable this feature on your booking page, head to Settings> Booking Controls & Notification> Gift Card Settings! Once you have the feature turned ON, a link will appear on your "About" section of the booking page.
How do Gift Cards work?
- Purchasing a gift card: Clients can easily purchase a gift card straight from your website. Just share your unique link with them! Your unique link will be your GlossGenius booking page link plus/gift-cards.
For example, if your booking page is https://7salon.glossgenius.com/ then your gift card link is https://7salon.glossgenius.com/gift-cards. Reach out to us if you need help finding your link! Plus, clients can also purchase gift cards by going to your site > About > ‘NEW Gift Cards Available Here’. They’ll be able to choose their desired amount, add in their payment info and then purchase! Here's a video walkthrough: https://bit.ly/gggcvideo
Purchase confirmation: Clients will receive a (pretty!) email confirmation with their gift card. You will also receive an email letting you know which client bought the gift card and the amount. Saving these emails will help you keep track of gift cards sold in case a client accidentally deletes theirs!
When you’ll get your funds: Funds for your gift card sales will be sent to you on the regular payout schedule (same business day!). Keep in mind that because this is an online card transaction, our low payments processing fee of 2.6% will be applied to the transaction. You'll receive the gift card amount minus the processing fee directly into your linked bank account.
Redeeming gift cards at checkout: Simply edit the service price to remove the amount of the gift card. To edit the service price, tap on the service at checkout, tap on the price, edit it, then press ‘Save’. For example, to redeem a $50 gift card, remove $50 from the price of the service, press ‘Save’ and continue with the checkout process.
Keeping track of gift card redemptions: After checkout, track the redemption amount and the balance remaining in the app by tapping More > Gift Cards.
Reporting: Gift card purchases and redemptions will not yet be included in your reporting, however, you'll be able to see this reflected in the "Your money is on the way!" email for Gift Cards purchased after September 2022.
How can I let my clients know about gift cards?
- Send clients to your “About” website page or send them your link: Clients can easily purchase a gift card straight from your website. Reach out to us if you need help finding your unique link!
- Announce on social media: We’ve added new templates inside the “Social Templates” feature for you to announce that gift cards are available. Go to More > Social Templates > and select a Gift Card template. Include your booking website link! Here's more information on using our Social Templates.
- Send a text or email blast: Send out a text or email blast by using GlossUp or eMailer. Share that gift cards are now available and include your booking link. Here's more information on using our mass messaging options.
