Gift Card FAQS

The gift card was sent to the wrong email - Can you resend it to the correct one?
Absolutely! Please contact our support team and provide the name of the gift card recipient as well as the correct email address. We'll make sure to send the gift card email to the correct email address as soon as possible.

The recipient accidentally deleted the gift card email - Can you resend it?
Yes! Please contact our support team and we'll resend the gift card to the original email. 

How does the gift card email look for clients?

Can I sell a gift card from with the GlossGenius app?
Currently you cannot sell a gift card from within the GlossGenius app. Gift cards purchases are tied directly through the online booking site. 

How do I refund a gift card for a client?
Currently you are unable to refund a gift card sale through the GlossGenius app. Please contact our support team with the name of the gift card recipient or the gift card code, and we can process a refund. 

Are gift card sales included in reports?
Gift card purchases and redemptions will not yet be included in your reporting, however, you'll be able to see this reflected in the "Your money is on the way!" email for gift cards purchased after September 2022.

Why can't I deduct a gift card on my tablet?
If your tablet is in landscape mode, the 'deduct' option will not appear. Please switch or rotate your tablet to portrait mode in order to deduct the funds.

How can I let my clients know about gift cards? 

• Send clients to your “About” website page or send them your link: Clients can easily purchase a gift card straight from your website. Reach out to us if you need help finding your unique link!
• Announce on social media: We’ve added new templates inside the “Social Templates” feature for you to announce that gift cards are available. Go to More > Social Templates > and select a Gift Card template. Include your booking website link! Here's more information on using our Social Templates. 
• Send a text or email blast: Send out a text or email blast by using Text or Email marketing. Share that gift cards are now available and include your booking link. Here's more information on using our mass messaging options.
