Our Teams feature allows you to add more than one Team Member to your GlossGenius account! When adding your new Team Members, you'll be able to assign them a role that will come with a preset group of permissions. However, we've made this feature flexible to fit your unique needs for Team Members, so permissions can be adjusted - even when you have determined which Role your Team Member will be assigned.
You can pick from the following Roles:
- Owner
- Marketer
- Manager
- Assistant
- Service Provider (self-employed)
- Service Provider (commission).
This chart will explain the individual permissions that each role is assigned by default. Of course, you'll be able to adjust these individually as you need to!

Each permission can allow for access or restrict access for Team Members. This is a description of each permission and which section of GlossGenius it can impact.

My Calendar
This section is for Team Members to view their own Calendar - this means Appointments and unavailability as well. The three levels of permissions are: - View & Edit - ability to view and edit their own calendar and waitlist
- View Only - Only able to view their own calendar and waitlist
- None - Cannot view or edit their own calendar (appointments or unavailability)

Other Team Members' Calendars
This permission is specific to the Calendar feature. This includes the view of Appointments and unavailability - View & Edit - ability to view and edit calendar and waitlist of all other Team Members
- View Only - able to view the calendar and waitlist for all other Team Members
- None - Cannot view or edit calendar for other Team Members

Checkout clients
Ability to check out clients - On or Off

Issue Refunds
Allows Team Members to issue refunds to clients - On or Off

Manage Client Profile
Ability to view or edit the Profile all together, there are 3 different levels of access for this permission: - View & Edit - ability to view and edit all client information
- View Only - Only able to view client information. This includes phone numbers and email addresses
- None - Can only view Client Name

Manage Client History and Notes
This will control the Client history section when viewing the Client profile. Also the ability to view or edit notes within ALL clients - View & Edit - ability to view and edit all client notes and portfolio images.
- View Only - Only able to view client notes and portfolio images.
- None - Unable to view client notes or portfolio
- Modify Reviews
- On or Off - enables the Team Member to modify any reviews that are left by a client.

View Analytics
Allows or restricts access to the Analytics section - the three levels of access associated with this permission are: - Everyone's: Enables the ability to view analytics for the entire salon, as well as individual team members
- Only Theirs: Analytics that only relate to their own login
- None: Analytics is not accessible with this option chosen.

View Reports
Specific to the reports section. Three levels of permissions here: - Everyone's: Enables the ability to view reports for the entire salon, as well as individual team members
- Only Theirs: Reports that only relate to their own login
- None: Reports section is not accessible with this option chosen.

Manage Expenses
Ability to manage expenses, such as adding, editing, or deleting expense items. - On or Off

Manage Marketing Campaigns
This allows Team Members to create and send mass email and text messaging campaigns to Clients - On or Off

Manage Salon Website
Permission is giving the Team Member the ability to edit the look and feel of the account's Site. This includes background, portfolio pictures, team lineup, etc) - On or Off

Manage Business Details
This is related to allow Team Members to edit business name, hours, and location(s) - On or Off

Manage Booking & Payment Details
Allows Team Members to manage the booking and payment details (within Booking Controls & Notifications under Settings), such as client notifications, check-out preferences, and online booking settings for Team Members. - On or Off

Manage Team Access
Ability to add or remove Team Members to the Salon. Also allows Team Members to assign Roles and edit individual permissions with each login. - On or Off

Manage Services
Ability to manage services, such as adding, editing, and deleting services. - On or Off

Manage retail items/ inventory
Gives Team Members access to manage retail items, such as adding, editing, and deleting. - On or Off

Update Personal Details
Touches on Team Member bio details and contact details. Three levels of access: - Everyone's: Update everyone's contact and bio information
- Only Theirs: Can only allow Team Member to update their own contact and bio information
- None: Team Member will not be able to update their own Contact information or bio.
- Update Working Hours
- Everyone's: Update everyone's working hours
- Only Theirs: Can only allow Team Member to update their own working hours
- None: Team Member will not be able to update their own working hours.
- Manage Commission Rates
- View & Edit - Can view and edit commission settings
- View Only - Can only view commission settings
- None - No access to commission settings
