Setting up Your Online Booking Site

We make going live with a booking website a breeze! This article will walk you through our Website settings, and how you can use these settings to customize and set up your online booking site. To get started, open your GlossGenius app and tap into Settings > Website. 

Note: If you are a team member and do not see this option within your Settings, you may not have the "Manage salon website" permission enabled. Contact your Account Owner to have the permission/access enabled. 

Design & Content

Setting	Description
Upload a Cover Image	You can change your booking site's background image by tapping into Settings > Website > Upload Cover Image. We recommend using an image size of at least 1600 X 1600 pixels with minimal text. Use the "Preview" option in the top right corner or under the "View and Share" settings to see how your background image looks online.
Choose Accent Color	This will change the colors of the site’s buttons and highlight bars. To learn more about this feature, click here.
About	Share more about your business through the “About” section. This can include policies you may have and any other information you’d like clients to know about your business.
Connect Social Account	You can link your business' social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to your online booking site.
Show Team (Teams Feature)	Turn this feature on to display your team on your website. Turning this setting on will show their personal photo and about section.
Team Lineup (Teams Feature)	You can use this feature to decide which team members will appear on the online booking site, and the order in which those team members appear. Use the toggle option to choose if a team member should appear on the site, and tap, hold, and drag on a profile to change the order in which the profile appears.
Show Portfolio Website	Turning this feature on allow you to showcase images on your website. You can hold and drag each photo to reorder them.
Show Reviews	Turn this feature on if you would like your clients to be able to see reviews on your website. Reviews will appear on the "About" page. To learn more about reviews, click here.
Service Lineup	This feature allows you to reorder the way your services appear on the online booking site. To reorder, tap, hold, and drag a service.
Display Services Visually	You can customize how your website shows services. When toggled off, services on your website will be shown in a list without photos.

 

View & Share

Setting	Description
Preview Website	Pressing the "Preview Website" button will take you out of the GlossGenius app, and it will launch your online booking site in your default internet browser. The site is live, and will appear exactly how your clients will see it.
Share Website	Tapping this button will allow you to easily share your booking site. You can learn more by clicking here.

Change Website URL

This setting allows you to change your online booking URL that is used to navigate to your online booking site. Shorter URL's are recommended (less than 35 characters), and a URL cannot be used if it is already in use by another GlossGenius member.  Note: Your new URL is instantly live when you change it - Please be sure to share your new URL with your clients, and update any business cards or flyers you may have. If clients try to navigate to your older booking URL, they will brought to a "Page Not Found" screen.
