Why does GlossGenius need to verify my identity?

All payment processors are required by federal regulations to verify the identity of their users once they reach a certain income threshold. The required data is your legal name, date of birth, legal address, and Social Security number -- and in some cases, your maiden name and/or a photo ID.

For all new users of GlossGenius, we've started asking for most of this information up-front to create a better experience and to minimize the time that initial verification takes. It makes things easier for you! We now require your legal name, SSN, and legal address when you add your bank account. All verification is automatic and simple, just like GlossGenius itself. 

However...

In rare cases, the payment processor will need just a little more information to verify your account. This is almost always a driver's license, and this type of verification only happens once! Upon confirming your identity, we'll kickstart your payouts again and have everything in your bank account the next business day!
