How to Charge a Card on File
Charging a card on file is an excellent way to give your clients a seamless, touch-less, and quick checkout experience. If you have a card saved on file for a client, simply tap the “Card on File” option when selecting the payment type at checkout.
How to Save Cards to Client Profiles
At this time, there are two ways for the client's card to be added to their file:
1. When the client books an appointment online, they'll be prompted to input their card information as long as you have the preference set to require a card when booking.
2. You can save the client's card to their file during the check-out of their appointment with you! You'll want to select "Scan or Enter new card" and add the client's card information for payment. Then, the option to "Save card on file" will be automatically selected for the client on the signature screen!
Other than those two options, there is no way to add a card to the client's profile directly. If you have a client who'd like to update their card info, feel free to email support at firstname.lastname@example.org with their name, and we'll be happy to remove their current card from their file. Doing so will allow the booking site to require that a new card be added to their file when booking their next appointment if the option Require Card is turned on!
