Processing time is a helpful way to keep your schedule packed tight and grow your business!
Most often, processing time is used to bring in a client with a shorter appointment -- a men's cut, for example -- while color is processing for another client. In order to allow this automatically, these types of services will need to be set up with some additional duration information.
In the app, go to "Settings" > "Services", and then tap the service you'd like to edit. On this service's page, tap "Total Duration" > "Add Processing Time" and make sure it is turned on:
From here, you'll need to add three things: Start, Processing, and End. In our example, the service will require 30 minutes of work, followed by 60 minutes of processing, and then 30 more minutes of work to wrap up.
First, add your thirty minute start time by tapping "Start" and then selecting "30 minutes."
Then, select "Processing" and make this "1 Hour." This means another client can book during this hour.
Finally, select "End" and add the final thirty minutes of service.
You'll see that the total duration is two hours, with a "free" hour in the middle for processing. Tap "Back" and then "Save," and your clients can now book during processing times!
Note: Be sure to add time to the "End," or else processing time will sit at the end of your appointment and could result in double-booking!
